Overview
Dakota Ojibway First Nations Housing Authority Incorporated was created on October 20, 2005, which took over the operations of 219 rental housing units that were previously managed by the Aiyawin Corporation.

Funding
Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation (MHRC) provides funding for these housing units that was previously provided by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). Whereas previously with respect to First Nations, housing was the responsibility of Canada, this has now been devolved to the Provinces.
