Funding
Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation (MHRC) provides funding for these housing units, previously Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) provided the funding but had transferred responsibility to the Province of Manitoba through MHRC.
Office Relocation
There are three reasons for Dakota Ojibway First Nations Housing Authority Incorporated to relocate offices and they are as follows, the requirement to relocate offices onto a First Nations Reserve (Swan Lake First Nation being the closest to Winnipeg), and the rental amount for 1079-J Wellington was excessive and we do not have to pay rent for our current office space at 100-11 Arden Avenue.
Through maintaining an office within the city of Winnipeg, we continue to serve our tenants and clients.
